Just a quick post… I was out and about today on an epic car journey, looking for material for up-coming work. The light was doing lovely things at times, but also a lot of heavy cloud and flat light. It’s always good to find yourself out in the Highland landscape, pootling along underneath mountains, admiring wide-open landscapes, noticing historic buildings, watching both a buzzard clasping its lunch or a low-flying jet pass overhead. seeing folk patiently fishing or logging waggons hauling timber.
Anyway, a-ways between Kinbrace and Helmsdale we met these chaps. We pulled into a small lay-by, where a deer feeding station had been set up. These magnificent creatures were 5 – 10 meters away from us as we sat in the car, and clearly used to vehicles and people watching in awe.
