Studio in the Snow

The usual snows have fallen in January. It’s been a good test for the studio, and specifically the thermal qualities of the structure and the load of snow on the roof. I’m pleased to say nothing has sagged or leaked, and after a blast with the heaters, the space warms up nicely (and retains heat for a reasonable amount of time).

The only downside of the roof being so well insulated (and the snow not melting off it with the heat from inside) is that it’s much darker in the studio than normal (a lot of light is let into the space through the polycarbonate roof).

I could do with a heated / covered walkway from the house to the studio now…
