Roofless Ruin, Ballantrushal, Lewis – During my February 2012 trip to the Isle of Lewis, I decided to visit the Clach an Trushal which is the tallest standing stone in Scotland. As I watched my travelling companion walk down to the shore, I noticed this wonderful ruined croft house close by and took a series of photo’s as I explored around through the sodden heather and gusting winds. The inside was full with rubble and rusting farm machinary, but the sun was shining through the windows and creating a wonderful contrast between the warm light and the cold, damp stones.

This original piece of art is on a carefully finished, deep box frame canvas, with the painting continued onto all sides. Signed by the artist and ready to hang. Dispatched with certificate of authenticity.
