20 x 20″ (51 × 51 × 4 cm)
Original – Acrylic and varnished charcoal on a deep edge box frame canvas, with the painting continued onto all sides.
Receding Tide – From photo’s and memories at one of my local beaches in Easter Ross in the Highlands of Scotland. The sea is retreating as the tide turns on a Spring day, leaving wet pebbles and the shimmer of damp sand. The water in view is the Moray Firth (with the Moray Coast out of sight in the distance).
Painted by layering sprayed acrylic paint through vintage textiles, mark making with charcoal and also relief printing, and both translucent and impasto acrylic paint. Finished with several layers of a harmonising, high-quality varnish for protection and longevity.
This original artwork is on a box frame, deep edged canvas (approximately 2″ deep), with the painting continued onto all sides. Strung and ready to hang, with artist signature on the rear. Dispatched with a Certificate of Authenticity.
