16 x 32″ (40 x 80cm)
Acrylic on canvas.

Loose brushstrokes convey the storm that sweeps down the Dornoch Firth from the Kyle of Sutherland and Ardgay and Bonar Bridge towards Tain and Dornoch.

Painted from photographs and memories from a vantage point on the A9 Dornoch Bridge crossing – no sketches, it was too wild! The bridge is around 3 minutes drive from my home and studio, so I rushed back and began to paint and record what I had seen as quickly as possible.

In artists own private collection (SOLD)
