Earlier this year I was delighted to be accepted as a Member of the National Association of Acrylic Painters.
The organisation was set up in 1985 to promote the promote the excellence in painting with Acrylics, to encourage innovation and to recognise it as a serious medium on par with Watercolours and Oils (just as those mediums had been once under-valued as new-to-market products, and then gained prestige and devotion).
The Association organises exhibitions for members, which over the years have been held in venues as prestigious and diverse as St David`s Hall Cardiff, Durham Art Gallery, The Westminster Gallery and the both the Mariners Gallery and Crypt Gallery in St Ives.
Members work is showcased via the NAPA website.
Membership of the Association can only be gained through submission of work to a Panel, and I was therefore delighted to receive recognition of my work (and ongoing experimentation with the medium) and be considered an excellent candidate for inclusion in the Member roll!
NAPA has some amazing and talented artists as members, you can follow the link below to explore…
