Inchmore Gallery CD Collection: Call to Artists 2015

Every year, in the run up to Christmas, something exciting happens at Inchmore Gallery near Inverness – small packages start arriving in the post from all around the UK, people pop by to drop off little palm sized parcels…

These are carefully opened by gallery owner Jane Owen Inglis to reveal several hundred tiny works of art!

The downstairs gallery spaces of this beautiful old church building are then bedecked with these small but perfectly formed squares of beauty, ready for art-lovers and Christmas gift-buyers alike to browse and purchase from in the run up to Xmas and New Year.

The gallery has a Call to Artists every year – which is open to creatives working in all flat media: painting, drawing, textiles, photography, printmaking and anything else that could conceivably fit neatly into a CD case (the igneous way these mini-artworks are wall-mounted).

Work is welcomed from individuals at all stages in their career, as well as those who don’t normally sell their work, those who exhibit with the Gallery and those who don’t, from anywhere in the UK or beyond.

Interested folk have until the 17th October – so a few days yet – to prepare and get work to Jane!
(perhaps give her a little heads up if you’re cutting it fine to the deadline)
