Highland Hospice Charirty Shop, Dornoch

I am a charity shop lover! I love a rummage, I love a bargain, I love finding something unique and special that I couldn’t buy elsewhere. My mum taught me the art of charity shopping when I was a kid. I had all sorts of treasures from charity shops… like a set of tiny 1950’s …

A seascape painting in impasto acrylics with physical texture. Thin clouds seem to scud at speed into elongated shapes on a watery blue sky. A rugged headland, picked out in near blacks and dark oranges, juts out from the left side. The sea looks agitated and waves break up against the rocks before washing out onto grey sand, making it wet and silvery.
